Hi,
I have a Magnafglow Cat-Back that I'm going to install this weekend, but would it make more sense to wait until next weekend when I'll have the x-pipe as well? I ordered the x-pipe today from PartShopper and will have it by Wednesday. So should I bolt up the cat-back to the stock H-pipe and then replace it with the X-pipe next week or just do both at the same time? Is it harder to pull out the H-pipe with the cat-back still in place?
Thanks,
WES

i installed my catback a couple months ago and just today i installed my x-pipe, the catbacks were still in place and i had no trouble taking out the stock h-pipe and putting in the x-pipe. but let me forwarn you if you plan on doing it all at once I dont know how fast you work but for me it took like 3 hrs for the catback and x-pipe so it will be an all day project.
one more thing the stock h-pipe is a bitch to take off cuz the nuts connecting the headers are placed so stupidly and they are hard to get too but once its off everything just slips back on. hope that helps
and good luck

if you don't have anything else to do, go for it cause it won't be any easier or harder with the cat-back in place. all you have to do is take out a few nuts & bolts & your ready to start on the x pipe

You might as well install the catback first, then the x-pipe. With the catback on, you'll say "that sounds much better". Then when you replace the h-pipe, you'll go "wow, that's effing incredible!!".

Yeah, give it a whole day of bleeding, screaming, and cursing.

There's no difference in difficulty doing one at a time, or the whole thing at once.

You're going to love it.

OK, thanks everyone. I'll do the CB this weekend and then do the x-pipe later.
