Installing Engine Core Plugs

What sealants do you guys use to install core plugs when you build and engine?

My book says a light coating of silicone, but the picture in one book shows a can of Hi Tack.

I am thinking clear silicone or Locktite Sleeve lock.

Black RTV will work too. I installed mine dry and they don't leak.
