installing gears

alright so i got my 4.10s with the speedo gear and the master rebuild kit from 50resto.com... my ? is am i ready to take it somewhere or do i need to buy anymore things for it?

Does the kit come with, pinion shims, crush sleeve, pinion nut?.....I'm sure it does, those are the neccesities. Other things you can have done at the same time are rebuild the trac-loc unit, rear end bearings, and so on.

Make sure whoever installs it puts Ford friction modifier in with the gear lube.

yea it comes with like everything.. if you want check out 50resto and see what it all has.. im pretty sure its alright.. my t-loc is fine..

You should pick up wheel bearings and seals.You should replace them since the axles will be out and should add nothing to the price of install.The master rebuild should have the carrier and pinion bearings so with all bearings replaced she should spin with the least amount of resistance which is a good thing.
