Installing MM Subframes

Haha! Here I go!

Got a bunch of stuff to install. I'm gonna start with the subframes.



I don't like how close I am to all the fuel lines. I'l moe them as far as I can an wrap them in wet towels. I'll have to pop that plug out as well.





Any tips fron any one? I'm gonna be using flux core cause I could'nt get my hands on a gas. I'm gonna us weld thru primer and then rust paint after. I'm also gonna weld up the torque boxes while I'm there...

MM has instructions on their web site for installation.

You may want to spray paint the bare rails with cold galvanize coating prior to painting and installing them. Then use a wire brush to remove the paint & cold galvanize coating where the welds will be.

Grind off the paint on the car where you are going to be welding, and disconnect the battery.

Also it is SUPER IMPORTANT that you have the suspension under a normal load. (All tires bearing FULL weight of the car on them.) Best it to drive up on a DRIVE ON lift.

Good choice for a first mod and great choice on product.

This should be the first mod for any Fox platform in my book.

I made a metal shield to put over the fuel lines and I also put a bag of Ice on the floor so that I wouldnt burn the carpet.

yes most hoist's are not that level and you will weld you car crooked so a drive on hoist is perfect.
