Installing my racing stripes as we speak!!!!

Im installing my racing stripes as we speak. Well actually im on a break as we speak, LOL!!! But ive got the roof, hood and front bumper all done. Just have the rear of the vehicle to go. Looks good so far, I cant beleive I was thinking about paying to have this done!

Bought the stripes off Ebay for like $70 shipped. It was a precut kit from the DecalShoppe. And they look sweet, its like I have a whole new car!

Only problem is now I think im gonna have to buy those new wheels Ive been eye ballin! Then I'll be done as far as the looks department goes and can start with the good stuff. (as a whipple is in the future)

Wow, looks awesome, great job man!!!! Let me ask you, did you have any problems with air bubbles or anything I would need to know about? Just two days ago I almost ordered a Le Mans Stripe kit from American Muscle just like yours, I'm not sure how wide your stripes are, the ones I was looking at are 12 inches wide each stripe. I wanted to hold off on buying them till I talked to someone who has done this, and here you are So any advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

I installed my kit the wet method, similar to installing window tint. Air bubbles werent really a problem at all, just get a felt squeegee and work them all out.

Make sure your car is super clean befor the install. As any debris under the stripe will show up.

The flat areas like the hood and roof and deck lid are pretty easy. However for the front and rear bumpers you will need a heat gun and some patients. It would be impossible without both of these.

There were a few pieces that It took a couple of tries. If its not working, just peel it off and spray it down again. As long as the underside of the stripe is wet, you can work with it.

There are some videos on youtube. Check out the videos on the DecalShoppe's website. I watched these even during the install.

Take your time, and take a break every so often. And remember one thing......the heat gun is your freind!!!
