I have a 91 5-liter I am installing a Vortech S-trim on. The belt Vortech ships with the unit is 54 1/2". There is no way I can get it to fit on the pulleys it is just too short. I even tried just hooking it up too the supercharger and crank pulleys with no tensioner in the way and it still will not fit.

It is close but I can't get it on after it has been lying in the sun with a pry bar. I have ordered a 55" belt that should be here in a day or 2.

I imagine the tolerances are different enough on these engines that Vortech can't get everything to work perfect with every car off the assembly line. This really has me tweaked though. I am a 6' 2" 270lb construction worker just so you are not imagining a 90lb stick trying to muscle a belt on.

Has anyone else run into this problem? Really aggravating

Me and a buddy actually had to put the belt on the pulley, then slide the pulley onto the blower. We fought and fought with it, but couldn't get it on with the pulley installed, so we took it off, then slid it on with the belt over it. After that, it was fine.
