i believe i blew out my front driver side shock. I bought a new one from autozone b/c i dont quite feel like replacing them all for like 400 bucks. So i bought one for 50 bucks. I'd like to install it myself since i installed my eibach sport springs myself. The, barely there, instructions said something about a spring compressor. Is there any place i can find proper detailed instructions for shock installation? or is it better to go to a shop?

It's easy, no need for a compressor, you should be able to compress the strut by hand (sometimes hard) but it's not needed.
well the strut i bought is compress and seems hard to decompress i j/ dont wanna like injure me or my coworker, are there any websites or write ups?

its pretty easy to do if you have an impact gun

remove the wheel
remove the top nut on the strut
turn the wheel to full lock to get more access to the bottom 2 bolts on the strut, remove those.
swap hardware to the new strut (dust boot and rubber bushings)
then just put it back together

and as long as you didnt mess with the caster/camber plates you shouldnt need an alignment
