Hey guys,
The car is a 66 Mustang and the problem arose quite a while ago. At first the instrument panel lights would not light up for a while, then they miracoulsy lit back up for a few weeks, I figured maybe there's a short or something.

Anyway, long story short, they went out again and have not lit up again in a very long time (months).

The blinkers and even high beam headlight indicator light located in the speedometer work as well as all of the guages.

I checked to see if any wires behind the instrument panels were loose and while doing that I replaced all of the lightbulbs with new ones.

If it is a short somewhere anyone have any solutions where to look exaclty. Or any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

One more note, I did check the fuses and they seem to all be fine.

Time for a new headlight switch, or you might be able to clean the old one.
the slide part on the switch loses connection and the panel lights do not come on.

headlight switch, or the small voltage regulator for the gauges located behind the dash.

68GEETEE.... you stole my advice! Either headlight switch ot constant voltage regulator. If the gauges seem to be working well, its prolly the headlight switch.
