Anybody ever buy/use the intake adapter kits that are available? Basically a bolt on spacer to couple a different intake (say 302) to a different motor (say 351).
My reason for asking is that I've got GT-40 and performer RPM efi intakes and various carb intakes for the 302, but I'm going 351W with the Capri. I'd like to have the option of carb or EFI. I can pick up the 351 base for the RPM intake for $180 or the adapters for $250 but it will probably require their distributor kit which moves the dist. up the same amount which runs $100.
On one hand I have the ability to run all of the intakes I have already, but still only running a 302 intake on a 351...Cost is the other factor. New carb + efi base = $300 Adapter plates & dist. kit = $350....
What's your opinions? I would prefer to find somebody who has went the adapter route...
