There's a bracket for the trans kickdown I assume that bolts to the intake near the back. I now see that my new motor has the holes for this bracket in a straight line not in a 45. I googled intakes and sure enough there's two different types when it comes to this part. Is there any reason for this? Hopefully they make the other style bracket or I guess I'll weld and drill a bit onto it. Also the vacuum line from the intake to the booster is in a different configuration.

The new

The old

Not sure about the bracket ,never used one ,i just shifted down by hand to pass .The brake booster hose can come off of the plug behind the bracket holes if it doesn't interfere with the bracket ,maybe a 45* nipple facing toward the fire wall will clear .

I can modify the existing bracket if I can't find the right one and the booster line will have to be rebent to fit so it's more of a pain than a show stopper. Was just wondering why they have two different type intakes with different locations for these parts to attach, other than to just complicate my life
