Intake Sensors and Hoses... Whats needed... Need some Help Quick.

Trying to get my car on the road... im running in to problems with the intake system...

Its been a year so im a bit fuzzy

First this is what needs to be known:
Trick flow track heat intake
Fox style Throttle body set up KEEPING EGR
Fox style heater tube

I want the coolant flowing through the spacer like on a fox. So i switched to the fox heater tube... HOWEVER. the hole that is drilled in it for the ECT sensor is in the way of the fuel rails... because it is on top... SN95 style in in front... NOW i have collected a bunch of sensors and plugs... i just want to know what the hell i actually need to have to make this work.

Whats this??? is it needed...


What about this??? What is it???? is it needed???


Can i move the ECT here... And use the plug in the fox line???


Can i use the one tipped adapter and run the coolant down to here from the EGR???




This is how i have it lined up now....

Looks like the gauge's sending unit (with the single stud). It should be on the driver's side lower intake (front).

For the ECT, you could do a tee fitting in the heater pipe or hose in a place that's convenient.

Otherwise, I dont know any workarounds for the interference issue.

Good call i did notice in a picture of my old lower it was in the front!

Now... whats wrong with moving the ECT to the rear driverside hole of the trickflow lower???

The rear port won't see a decent flow of coolant. Thus there's too much hystersis and lag in the readings.

If you can rig up the ECT in the stock gauge sender location, that could work IMHO. That gauge's sender location (fr dr lower intake) is pretty accurate. Then you just find a new spot for the stock and/or aftermarket sender (if you have an aftermarket gauge, the stock sender can go in the rear since the stock gauge is inaccurate. Then put the aftermarket sender in a Tee in the heater hose or someplace else that works for you).

Just be careful about having your primary gauge's sender on the radiator side of the t-stat. In such a sitution, if the stat sticks closed, the gauge won't reflect engine temps.

I think it's easiest to make your ECT work on the passenger side of the motor (in the stock location or the heater hose).

For the Tee that thing you have looks promising, doesn't it?

Otherwise you can buy a brass one, sweat copper/brass slip-fit connectors together, or just buy a brass tee fitting and barbs. It just depends how you want to do it. Your home store will have all the stuff you need. You just need to know the ID of the hose you're teeing into.

LOL yea it does... thanks for all the help... my heatercore is curently bypassed should that effect anything for the time being??

You should be fine.

When it's heater core time, I have (saved) an awesome write up with a million pics that Wes sent me quite awhile ago. I'll find it for ya if you want (and wait 30 mins [DUW] for it to open so I can make sure it's still good).
