intake?

ok so i was lookin at some intakes. ive sen alot of people running the eddy performers and the street heats. i currently have an explorer intake, ive been told from a few people that its the least of the cobra family. so, my question is, what is the general idea of intakes? will mine suffice or should i look into an aftermarket one? thanx.

I just bought the street heat manifold and it's pretty nice but it seems a little short on parts. It also seems a little harder to install than i had expected but its not bad if you've got some experience and have the time to do it. its not installed but as soon as i get it in I'll let you know.

If the GT40 is installed, just leave it. Not enough of a difference to warrant changing to the edelbrock or trick flow intake.

AND it will perform every bit as good as a Cobra or GT40 - within 1-2HP.
