intake

in the process of my holley systemax install when i realized i only have a 65mm TB i was looking at teh holley 75mm TB but it say somethign about it having to me ported to match the intake,is this tru considering i havea holley intake

Usually it's the intake that needs to be opened up to match a larger TB.

the holley intake probally already has a 75mm opening...what you are reading is probally talking about using a 75mm tb with a stock intake


but if your car is N/A i would stick with the 65mm

Actually, i just read a comparison of like 8 different efi intakes. they went from stock all the way to a 90mm, and said that only 1 out of them was actually the correct size hole. Even tho your intake says it has a 75mm opening, more than likely for it to fit right, it will need some minor massage work to open up the hole a little. Take your thottle body, stick it over the intake and bolt it on there...(preferably with the intake off) open the butterfly, and look thru it and look to see if you can still see any of the intake thru the throttle body. if you can see that the intake hole is actually smaller, take a marker, and draw the inside line of the throttle body, then unbolt the throttle body, and have fun with a dremel.
