me and Stang2Man both have Edelbrock Performer 302 intakes on the II's and have not had any problems whatsoever. Great low end torque.....and it's fair at high RPM's. If it's gonna be a daily driver, I'd highly recommend a dual plane low rise......any company should do

Weiand Stealth and Edelbrock Performer RPM are the same height so hood clearance problems will be the same. Check the specs so on the Summit site.
I'm running a Performer RPM Air Gap, and I just barely clear the hood. My air cleaner is about 1 1/2" or so tall, and I use a bolt to hold it down instead of a stud and wingnut.
I had an Edelbrock Performer that I replaced with an RPM Airgap. It is a tight fit for hood clearance, but the performance is better all round. I used an air cleaner that drops the base 1" below the top of the carb. I used a 2 13/16" element in it along with a bolt that is tightened by a flat head. It does not hit the hood, but using any plates or spacers between the carb and manifold is not an option. Also I am using a Carter 625cfm afb. I don't know if the Holley is taller or would allow the use of this type of air cleaner.
