Intercooler cleaning

i have a procharger P1SC intercooled SC. on my car, well i wanna clean out the intercooler, my roomate has the thunderbird supercoupe with the eaton on it, and he cleaned out his intercooler awhile back, got all the gunk that got past the air filter out, well i dont remember how he cleaned it out, i know for sure he filled it with something and let it soak then simply washed it out, hes out of town right now and i wanna know what can i do to clean my intercooler out, let me know, thanx

How much crap can be in an air to air intercooler?

Unbolt it, fill it with soap and water, swish it around, rinse it out, let it dry.

u'd be surprised how much black liquid comes out of those things once you clean them and yea i already read up on it after i posted, so i know how to now

If you love your car, you should be able to un-bolt it and eat from it. J/K. I think cleaner means no build-up so theres no restriction.

my roomate who did his unbolted it, and pour mineral spirits into it, really anything that will eat the dirt and not stick to the medal, pour it in, let it sit, wash it out..and watch the black diesease come gushing out, pretty nasty crap considering how clean you think it might be
