ok ive tried it all, the fans for the intercooler wont turn on?
so i replaced boht fans the wiring harness the blue box the fuse?
and they still ont turn on, ive run power to boht fans and the intercooler water pump and boht turn on, which brings me to no power so i replace the harness, the the blue module and also replace the 20 amp fuse and the relay on the blue module? any one have any idea whats next?

Have you verified that there is power to the “blue box”? I have to think it serves the same purpose (fan turn-on delay, relay, etc.) as the purple plastic box located in my passenger fender well.

It would be nice if someone on this board had a wiring diagram for the circuit. In the mean time, you could hook up a manual switch with a relay to turn the fans on.

I remember a guy who installed a manual switch to his fans back east. He had schematics for everything. The only reason I remember him is he changed it back becuase he burned up fans from them running and running.
I'll see if I can find his info.

what would be the best way to check the power on the blue box?
the reason i replaced the blue box is that my slef and joe at chciane thought it would be the next logical step, i was thinking of wiring it up to a switch but id like to have it work the right way with the money ive spent on the box and the wiring harness

Again, a wiring diagram would be most helpful. The box has to get power with the ignition on. It is a matter of determining which wire it is. It should also have a ground, so you can check the continuity.

Was there anything out of the ordinary that led up to this problem? When the box failed on our car, I think it was actually the result of previous work Chicane did. I am almost certain they inadvertently shorted out the IC board in the box.

My suggestion for a manual switch is for a temporary fix only, btw. Do it down and dirty cheap until you can get the real problem sorted out.
