I like the look of billet aluminum interior parts, but they add up in cost quick...has anyone painted interior parts with chrome spray paint? I'm gonna try it and try to post pics monday. If it looks like **** I'll just spend the money on the real thing.

chrome needs to be dipped to even look right, it cant be spray painted on. I would save your money on the paint and sell your interior parts that you are getting rid of, that will knock a tad off that price for the other new interior peices...

do a search on some plastic chrome plating maybe in a bulk order itll be cheaper. But IMO plastic coated pieces wont hold on handles and such but a company called Ray o vac or something comes to mind in my recent searches.

This mite help you, I know they have a new chrome paint for RC CARS that looks like dipped parts, also Troy Lee (motor cycle helment painter) use Chrome paint on his helments he does for racers................

This is not spray can paint that stuff is garbage but , airbush/paint gun paint and looks 100% real, it also has a felx additive so it doesnt chip off, go to a hobby shop and get it there.........:)

btw i did one of my RC CAR BODYS with it (RC10 T3) and it came out awsome:)
thats how i know it doesnt chip, my car does 45+ and flips n crashes and looks awsome except for the broken parts:(

when I worked for Classic soft trim we sold kits like that. There werent too many problems with them but IMO it didnt look that good, really cheap and cheesy.
You gotta be careful too cuz there are a few diffrent kinds of "aluminum" Some acualy looks like it and other times itll look all plastic and thick
