I finally got started on my interior remodel :nice:. Basically I am painting all the tan pieces black, installing a new black carpet, and summit racing seats.

Today I started painting.. I ended up only getting the dash done but it is looking really good. For some reason the SEM paint didn't cover as well as I thought it would. Took me 2 1/2 cans to do the dash. :notnice:

Here are some pics after I took out the seats. The carpet is disgusting!

Here are pics after I finished the dash. I'm not sure how well the steering wheel is going to hold up but I figured I'd try it out. I can always get a black one or a fr500 if it starts to look bad.

I got the dash done and everything is back together except for the glove box. I ended up using 3 1/2 cans of the SEM paint and I still have not painted the center console or door panels. I'm actually thinking about picking these up at a junkyard to avoid having to paint them.

I'm having a hard time getting the passenger airbag in correctly(it was previously deployed and it bent the metal brace). It's just sitting there for the picture.

The carpet is partially in. I still have to do a lot of trimming to get it to fit correctly.

Still have a lot to do but its coming along nicely. My fiance has my camera so I'll get better pics in a few days.

Did you cut the new carpet around the shifter like that?

Yes, the new carpet has no cuts or holes in it for anything. I used the stock carpet as a template and cut that part out so I could lay it in the car. The cut looks weird because of the way its laying in the car. The carpet is no where near perfect at the moment, still have a lot of cuts and trimming to do.

Thanks. I was just wondering because I want to do a console delete and I also want to use ACC carpet as I've used them multiple times in the past for older cars and always been happy with it. The console delete will require the carpet to go up past the shifter, preferably up under the dash.

I started this awhile ago but never updated with new pics. I finished up the painting but still had my stock tan seats, which looked like crap. I finally got some adapter brackets that I can use to mount the summit seats. Here are pics without the seats. Ill post up more pics when I get the seats installed(hopefully this week).

I ended up doing all paint because of funding. Moving across the country is not cheap! :bang::bang:

sixt9coug: the paint is holding up really well on the steering wheel but its also not my daily driver.
