Anyway here's a pic showing the new leather shifter boots. The shifter one has red stitching to match the stitching in my seats in case you can't tell from the pic

Also the new floor mats and switch/DIN panel from AlanW6. It houses my overdrive/lockup switch fort he 4R70W as well as an "EJECT" button

Ryan - It's an AOD-E like the newer Stangs, but the valve body is full manual. Meaning I shift each gear up and down myself like a manual without a clutch on the floor. To get it to work with my older Fox technology we had to cut my stock harness and mate it to a 96+ harness. That was easy except the wiring colors didn't match up and so we had to dig up some pinouts to see WTF controlled what from each year, then make this Frankensteined harness (half is mine, half is from I believe a 99 GT):




This is what I had built, all by my spec:

4R70W (wide gear AODE w/switch-controlled OD)
Clutches: Alto Red & High Energy: Int 4, FWD 5, Rev 4, Direct 7, Welded Carbon OD Band, high grade stub shaft - all the internals that keep it strong. All internals cryogenics treated for strength
Full manual valve body & 3000RPM 10" forged converter w/large carbon lockup clutch - both builder-spec'd and built for my application

and for supporting parts it has a line pressure modulation/blow-through system w/TransGo bypass valve and a B&M heavy duty external fluid cooler.

And since we had trouble locating the proper shift lever arm, I now have a nice custom cut billet aluminum piece We ordered 2 overnight from Ford and neither matched what I needed to fit on my setup, so we gave up and my friend used his CNC machine to design and cut it out

Regarding losing the white shift boot, that's basically the whole reason for the post The stock setup with NO boot is just ugly and boring, and a black one is too common. I'm not common I don't expect everyone to like it of course, so no biggie.
