Hey guys, maybe you can help...

I looked all over in that car for an ipod hookup. Is there an ipod hookup at all??? Any ideas? 2 Things the car doesn't have is that hookup and a trunk release on the inside of the car!!!

Yeah man sorry i had an 05 V6 and no ipod hook up nor trunk realease.

ur gana have to spend some cash to id recomed a nice stero set up where u can have a direct hook up thats wut i did with my 05.. and as for the trunk get a new alram that has a trunk button...

My 08 has the ipod AUX right in the arm rest but as for 05 and 06 they dont.

the new models 2008+ have the AUX input jack in the arm rest the older 2005-2007 (i think) don't.

As far as the trunk release if you crawl into the trunk and close the lid and look up you will see the faint glow of the release handle. Thats the only one in the car...lol

If you want to control the ipod from the head unit, buy a new head unit. There are many on the market, better quality sound and cheaper than the Shaker stuff.
I have an Alpine. Pioneer has one with navigation, bluetooth, ipod controls and voice activated for less than $1,000.

Yes, 07 + has the jack under the arm rest.

Crutchfield for example and other places also have adapters you can buy and you can route it up through your center concil if you choose and unlike the factory set up you can choose songs on your headunit and not have to have it hanging out your arm rest plus it keeps the ipod charged at the same time. Unlike hte facotry one you have to hold onto when selecting songs and it doesn't keep the ipod charged. Yes they make this to plug and play into your factory radio, pricey but effective.
