have a 66 mustang with 83 5.8 bronco engine with just a edelbrock performer intake torque cam and 750 edelbrock carb it bogs out and misses around 2500 and up and runs like crap when temp gets to around 200degrees is that carb to big
I have a 750 on a 351w. it runs rich but I can get all the bogs out of it. I would be looking at timing and things like that. BTW how old is the carb? And when is the last time you gave the engine a tune up?
not sure how old the carb is or last tune just got the car not to long ago but ive noticed when i pull the vacuum hose off it doesnt do anything so it could be the carb and the guy said he got the bronco electric ignition on there have no idea what hes talking about it does have three wires and some kind of bronze box hooked up to it ? thanks for the replies iam new here can get pix if helps i would ask around here but everyone and there mom likes imports
You need to spend time tuning the engine. Set the initial timing to 10-12 degrees BTC. You more than likely need a larger radiator in that 66 Stang for a 351.
