Ok a guy i work with is about to put a newer 4.6 motor in his suv and i was thinking i can take the block and slowly build it up.. I know the heads and intake are all differnt but i just want the block thats it..

I think they came with the windsor block as apposed to our romeo. only a few differences (thats what held my car up) I went with a windsor and some of the bolts are different sizes, so we had to find bolts for the bottom 2 bolts in the timing cover,.. and a few others. major difference i think has something to do with the main bolts.

Same here but i just want to have this block and slowly build up.. It may take awhile like as years but just something to work on.. In less i get rich fast then ya lol it would happen fast.. Just something to play with..

I believe both 4.6L blocks where the same, but the heads, cams, intake and tune was differnet for the mustangs, netting it different HP/TRQ raitings i believe.

At least i know my brother had a 97 F-150 with a 4.6L SOHC engine and he wouldn't stand a chance against my 02 GT :D Dont know if the trucks had the same "PI" head problem as the 96-98 stangs did...but im just sayin
