Yes drop it. And while your there change the gaskets on the tank and put in a 250 pump or atleast check the screen if you plan on leaving the motor stock. Dropping the tank is easy just be careful not to break the fuel lines like I did
i went out and found that i can siphon it out so i dont think im going to drop the tank unless the fuel pump is bad. (it wont come on but i dont think its getting power, i will find out tomorrow). thanks for the advice, i will drain it. that will be for the better anyways because im using a 302 with a flat tappet cam (dont ask) and i need to do a 20 min 2k rpm break in and fighting a fuel issue will make that a huge PITA. thanks again
