Remove belt = wrench against tensoiner. Two bolts, two harnesses, that's it. I would recoment a 3G upgrade. Do a search on "alternators 3G"

thanks guys so much, you gave me the confidence to go out and get it done, i went to the parts store, i took mine out and took it with me so i don't have to pay the core charge, the guy even tested it for me and it came out as FAIL, so i got my new one in now and works beautifull. thanks guys.

we dont have inline fuses for the alternator stock. we have a fusible link off the starter solenoid. a lot of folks install a stereo fuse when doing a 3G upgrade (which requires a new alternator cable to be run. that is where the fuse is).

Yeah I have an aftermarket stero. It adds only like 15 hp though.

I got 18rwhp from my woofers, and that's dyno tuned! 15 sounds a little low.
Try angling your woofers more toward the very rear of the car.. the resulting propulsion from each hit of the woofer should bump you up to around what I'm at.

Wouldn't the rebound of the woofer cones pull backwards on the car and cancel out the perfomance boost though?

Only if the net rebound of the woofer cones equals the net propulsion of each hit of the woofer. Otherwise, you should see some gain, something along the lines of a CAI.

hell i remmebr thinking the h-pipe install was gonna be so hard.... i think i have had that thing on and off the car 10 times since then. i figure if i can take it apart i can put it back together
