Is it just me, or do they all look the same?

Just look through the 87-93 Foxes on Car Domain for awhile. After a bit, they all start to look the same. I want mine to be something special. Any good ideas for extirior mods? I don't want to make it look like a rice rocket, just something different.

I thought about doing some kind of a Boss 302 scheme with rear window luvers and the C stripe type thing, along with the Cobra body kit.

I like the Stormin' Normin hood, but everybody has one seems like.

I could try to do some kind of modern Foxish interpritation of Eleanor.

A shaker hood maybe? That would be unique.

the foxes started production model about 17 years ago, in that time, there is really only so much different that can be done to them.
cobra rims, tint, stripes......basic for exterior.
They are all gonna look the same, but slightly different (i guess). You just have to pick what YOU want to do with your car. after all, your the one that has to live with it.

You could do the widebody kits, just look in different websites and I am sure you will find something.

When I first read the title, I thought this would be a racial thread!!! (I had to edit what I originally wrote)

I've seen those wide body kits. They look good for race rigs, but not for a street car. I think I'll just go with something like this.

Try going with wheels that are not made byt Ford. (I know, I'm guilty) But looking at some of the newer '99-up cars, I see more and more of them using aftermarket wheels. I think it seperates them for the rest. I'm sure everyone has seen what Bringit99 or Tatrohiperformance or what ever he calls himself on this board or the Corral has done with his sweet black coupe. Now the chrome Saleen's look phenomenal, but the chrome double spoke rims give it a custom/unique look I have never seen before. That would be the first variation I made. Most after market body kits look gay in my opinion, so I would keep what ever body kit you have. If it's a GT, the Cobra rear bumper and grille insert look great, but then again, everyone has them.

The most interesting Mustang cardomains are the ones that show their cars being home built. I like it when they show actuall pictures of their engine being rebuilt, gutted interiors, body work, cutting welding etc.

So if your going to mod your Mustang, please post progress pictures on your car domain, Thanks.

If you really want different, you could always build a 'Swedish' four-eye....

Sadly no. It's not mine. It's a pic of a car that I found when I was looking into that Shaker you see installed there. Sweet as hell though innit???

I'll try and find pics of my car. They're on an old zip disk somewhere (I think). It doesn't look bad (my opinion) but doesn't look near as kewl as those in the pics either.

The way the shaker is setup I suppose I could still swing it. It's something I've been considering. Checkout how the thing is setup inside. Mine has a 2 1/2 inch inducted cowl that I'd probably have to use spacers to adapt for. With the stock location for the air box etc. it would give me functional Ram air that's not sucking up a bunch of junk from the street.

I always wanted to try and make a tri-bar light setup like the 60's Mustangs on a Fox.

What would be different in my area is a 100% stock looking Mustang but with plenty of power. Seems like everyone has a fiberglass hood (most are still white), loud exhaust and runs in the 14's still.

I'm going with a stock looking black LX but with an '82 functional scoop, Cobra R wheels, lowered suspension, and a carb'd 393 stroker

I would be looking into a 4 eye swap if I could find all the parts to do it properly.
