my car is running in top shape and seems to be running its finest.

but it always seems like its slow, i know its not, its got some nice grunt with all of the stuff i've done and people always tell me how badass and fast my car is. but i just dont get the same sensatiion driving the car. ive had my gf drive my car with me riding shotgun and i had her floor it in 2nd and was like "HOLY MOTHER where did that power come from" i hadnt had someone drive me around in months

car seems to pull HARD and feel badass when i am not driving it lol

i always seem to find my self tinkering and adjusting timing and stuff trying to regain "lost" power, when there is actually nothing wrong.

anyone else done this before. i just hope i am not crazy lol

it may just be the speed bug's way of making me mod the car, i always have the urge to buy something, i have the cash but i am saving for later on for something BIG. i hate that urge to make the car faster

yea thats probably it, because sometime i will go a week or so without driving it, and recently i had my t5 out multiple times and everytime i put it back in and took the first drive it it felt like it had more power. the first time the t5 was out for like 4-5 months and the first ride after that was INSANE or at least it felt like it was lol

I agree with the other Guys, it is just a matter of you being used to it. After I drive my Stang for a little bit and then get in my Truck or Cavalier then I feel like I am in a snail.

X323432 of what everyone says. Since my is my daily driver it always feels slower than ****. The only time i feel like its moving is at night time when the temps drop and it just feels like it picks up a few due to better density. I hate houston weather

Yea it definatly feels slower. I took it around the block a couple of weeks ago, and it was fun as hell, but it just wasnt as peppy as I thought it was. I guess it needs a few hundred extra horsepower to feel fun again

Frankie keeps complaining that her car's a total dog, especially after she's driven mine, but my car's not THAT much quicker than hers at all. It's all a matter of perception, I think.

It's times like this that we all wish we had our own private 1/4 mile track so we could see if our cars are actually running slower numbers...

I know what your saying, when your diving and you nail it you might not thing about it but you are leaning foward so you dont get nailed into the seat, but when someone else is driving your body doesnt prepare itself for the hit and you get slammed into the seat.

All's it takes is a ride in my old pickup (4cyl Isuzu) to make my Coupe feel like a rocket
Zuzu has her place though, she's a GREAT swap meet parts hauler
And my dog loves to ride in it

I've been rocking a Neon for 9 months Before that at least I had a newer Grand Am GT, which had some pep. Replaced it w/the Neon so I could save $$ on a commute 3x longer than it used to be Almost done having to do that though, so no more Neon.

I even got to take an import-driving friend for a ride today. He was quite impressed/scared/in disbelief/etc. Everything I hoped for.
