Is it possible to run 12's N/A with 3.73's with bolt ons and suspension work?

what would i need to do this ?,i really want to do it bad!

ive seen ppl hit 12's on 4.10s but not 3.73

this might sound sort of dumb, but i was just curious

Put your car on a diet, bro. Not to sound too extreme, but approximately every 100lbs. equals 1/10 of a second.

To accomplish 12's, you should also do:

Underdrive pullies
L/T headers
MAF
throttle body
Dr. Gas "X" pipe
Programming chip
rear seat delete + spare tire removal
Also, your 315's aren't helping matters.

+1 for weight reduction. Also, some slicks will help.

He wants to know if you can do it with 3.73s

2001 Bolt On GT Vert SOLD
12.997@ 103.75 1.72 60'

John did it in a vert, but probably 4.10. Just lose lots of weight, and drive it like you stole it, and it probably can be done.

it can be done, suspension means more than most of the bolt ons you cab buy. the thing is getting the car light enough and not just throwing suspension at it, but setting up a good suspension. pinion angle and wieght transfer.

I have been through 3 engine setups, but yet havent really started on my suspension until now. I wanted to get some kowlegde on it before starting. most of the aftermarket pieces you buy are really not much better than stock. MM makes some great pieces and so does strange engineering.

thats what the bulk of my suspension will be.

my buddies car runs deep 8's and pulls 1.3 sixties on stock style bolt in rear suspension.... hell he even has a set of monroe shocks on it, but the upper's/ lowers and front suspension is designed to work together.

he hooks pretty good

Yeah thats my buddies car,... I wont get into the engine because you would hear alot of hating on here.

I dont know the specifics on it, but I asked him about my car and wether i needed rear coil overs... he laughed lol. he is running just bolt on parts, but i dont know what brands.

thats the old engine on a ton of nitrous,.. next is a 106mm setup.

he is going to be the driver for our pinks car..... and driver is the most important part of getting the 12's we are talking about.

Wait, what? You had a 13.4 your last time at the track, installed a fiberglass hood, and hope to run 12's now?
