The gforce upgrade is really the only one to go with... if you do the kit yourself expect to spend 1100 just on the base kit without some of the nice upgrade parts. If you buy one rebuilt from them its about 2k and up. I just bought a tko600 from D&D with the bellhousing, yoke, and 26 spline Mcleod disk for my centerforce 2 pressure plate(hope it works together) for 2200 to my door. Here is some info on Gforce's website. http://www.g-forcetransmissions.com/tran_gf5r.asp
Both are great choices. If you do a search there is a bunch of opinions as to which one to go with and why. Whatever suites your budget and needs... Choose your weapon...

I checked out the sight. Sounds good, but dont know if it would be better jsut to convert to a t-56. I'd rather stick with the t-5. Who knows, maybe I'll wait until the t-5 lets go to decide.
I entertained the idea of the T56 but when put up against the TKO600 it was heavier and handles 25 percent less power(on paper) and costed a few hundred more. For me I couldn't justify all that for a .8 overdrive. Granted it definately does its appeal and cool factor though...

i think someone needs to make something to strengthen the case of the t5. since its aluminum im sure it gets a lot of deflection in it when you start making lots of power which leads to binding or gears coming apart from each other and than breaking teeth off. hmm....might be my next invention
