Im looking at Comp stage III's/springs... I was wondering if anyone had any experience with TB and cam combo's ; and/or if the gains were worth the $ for the TB.

Don't know if you've seen this or not but it's a good read.

It's not necessary. You may see a few more ponies by doing so. At the same time, many many people have had trouble with aftermarket TB's. Though, I've heard of some people modifying the GT500 TB to fit.

The stock TB flows really good. but I know of a guy that has the same cams but with ported heads that is N/A and is putting out 400rwhp. Forged bottom end. He has the bbk 62mm. RPM outlet has a GT500 TBwith adapter for a good price.

Hmmm..I didnt think an honest 400 rwhp is possible with out bumping the compression?

So...

What Im hearing is there is a 7hp increase for a TB that cost 350$ AND is a pain in the ass to tune; or hold a tune...

Thanks for your help guys ... Not too often do you find someone saying "NO, dont buy that!" in these forums.

His compression is the same as stock. He didn't want to go High because if he want to go FI then he doesn't have to change the pistons.
