hey guys it just occured to me that my car may not have a posi unit.. which will suck ass if it doesnt.. I know for a fact though, my car was special ordered with the 3.08 gears in it. Just wondering could it be possible that i have one.. if i do i can put my gears in

Every 5.0L Mustang from 1986 on gets the "posi" rear end. Simpilest way to tell... Do a smokey burnout. If you see two tire tracks, than yours is working.

Over the course of time, the clutches wear (naturally) and your car can revert back to an Open differential. Many stores sell the rebuild kit for the Traction-Loc for around $50.00

All V8 Mustangs from the early 80's have had the t-lok.

1984 (or whatever year) all the way to 2006.

Only the base model Mustangs (4-banger or V6) got the 7.5" open rear diff

Wheel hop can be caused by bad quad shocks, but your trac loc is bad if only one wheel is spinning.
