Wow.....that's not good. Why was it cut? Anything can be fixed, and more detailed pictures would help us assess better.

I don't believe it was cut, the car was in some type of accident but the rest of the car looks fine for the most part. Never noticed that last year, crack was probably hidden with that gunk on top when I bought it. I'll take more pictures

Also yes I've noticed the shotty wiring job, I bought the car last year and just drove it and stored it. Planned on fixing things this year.

You understand that these cars have no frame, body is unitized. Unitized is just sheet metal welded together to form a rigid structure.
It all looks pretty normal to me. I would just add a strut tower brace.

I don't think it's 'normal'. It should definitely be addressed. If that's what the inner well looks like, I wonder what the k-member mounts look like.

I think the best thing you can do is pull the nose. It's really not that hard to do. Get a good look at BOTH sides of the inner fender frame area.

Bright side, that part of the inner structure doesn't have much to do with the overall soundness of the car.

Downside, if it can twist any it will through your sheetmetal out of alignment.

It would be fairly easy to fix. Post more pictures when you take the fender off.

Well did you get a chance to yank the front clip to see how bad this is?

Looks to me it can all be welded. If you do not weld it, it will only get worse.

Dude... it's already JB Welded and we all know it doesn't get stronger than THAT.

Just pull the clip and check it out all over, from underneath too. If that's all there is it's not that bad and you can clean it up and weld it for real.
