hood pins are gross, period. once the hood is latched and closed try pulling up on the hood with good force to see if it moves any. who in their right mind would put hood pins on a brand new, freshly painted hood is beyond me.

Guess I didnt think about that.. even thought I dont race mine at all.Monsterbishi said:We have to as a matter of practise, to comply to our local racing regulations.
nmcgrawj said:That yellow one looks to have the locking pins. The ones that u have to use the key to open the hood. I think i remember from researching a long time ago that those dont actually help with keeping the hood down...they just lock it. But im sure they are better than nothing...but how much, im not sure.
Does anyone have any pins that do not rust?

Well, I still think the hood should latch right, then the pins are ADDED protection.91LX_5L said:What are those?
Anyways I have the MR Gasket flush locking style in my room right now, I need to get my hood repainted thanks to a big rock chip so i think im gonna get them installed then, ill miss the clean look tho![]()
PPL seem to say these ones fail sometimes, but IMO its gonna be safer then just my stock latch correct? I mean these will just be a added attachment ontop of my stock latch which im still using...???
