IS MY TRANNY FRIED?!

hey everyone....i was being a dumbass earlier and accidentally revved my motor (long story, dont ask) probably to about 4-6k rpm. now, my first gear is extremely sluggish, and 2nd gear doesnt always hook up. 3,4,and 5th gears are ok, or so they seem. so is the t-5 done or does it need a rebuild? also, how much am i looking at spending here to fix it?

It sounds like your 1st and 2nd is almost shot go ahead and have those two rebuilt.

Revved your motor really high and.....what? Dropped the clutch? I wouldn't imagine just revving your motor when it's not in gear would hurt the tranny, no matter how high you revved it heh
