Just Practice? ?

I had a fun time with a '69ish mustang full of teenagers the other day. My wife made sure that we were ahead and "winning" the whole time. As we finished we ended with a series of thumbs up and proclamations of "Nice car"!

This got me thinking. Is running another mustang Canabalism ? or just practice ?

wow.......thats pretty deep. I guess in a way your right cuz its a fellow stang owner, but then if the owner is running his/her mouth and they deserve to get beat then by all means do so.

Yeah. They were certainly taunting us and egging us on. I guess they just needed to be shown??

I still can't decide if I should feel guilty about taking down another stang

It's like when Tiki Barber and Ronde Barber were off the field just hanging out, they were not only brothers, but best friends. But once they stepped on the field on Sunday, they both put their game face on.

Lol, what? There's a joke to be made with that sentence.

Racing is racing. Not battling, or attacking, or anything offensive. So hell yeah, run em and have fun with it.

well there's two kinds that are acceptable in my book. 1. The guy is cool about it, your complimenting each other's ride and you decide to run it for fun, they give you a wave and you go about your day. 2. A guy w/ a dual catback on his V6 thinks your 10 year old mustang is about ot eat his dust - then he needs to figure out the hard way that a fullbolt on GT w/ gears> a V6 everyday fo the week.
I guess if a GT is being a real dick and swerving in and out of traffic then you should put him in his place too, but i discourage it. People who meet up, talk smack, then race on money stang vs. stang just have no fellowship IMHO

Its sad but where Im from the GT and V6 owners around here think they have the fastest Stang around and talk smak about my car and try to race me all the time . Lets just say everyone that Ive met on the street dont any more.

The biggest problem I have are the 05+ Stangs with the GT and the Shelby. When I was in the Shelby one day a guy in a new GT with GT350 stickers on the side tried racing me. He said his "GT350" would walk the Shelby....I wheel-hopped right past his a$$.

The guys in the other stang were just kids. They were crusin' and having some fun. I decided to be sure they knew they weren't the only fast car on the road. Just a little bit to "Put them in place".

I really enjoy deflating the ego of cocky people!! On behalf of all fellow Stangers, I consider it my job to do so

Around here, most stang owners are total retards. They desirve a beating just as much as the next guy if they are acting like clowns. (although I refrain from racing...turn down ALOT)

Iv never felt bad about laying the rules down...I have only been beat 2 times by another stang. And all I had at the time was a K&N filter and maybe an E water pump...I have since cought back up with one of them and tought him a lesson
Other guy in a saleen vanished...havnt seen him since late 2004 .

Now a cocky Subaru on the other hand.

I am really enjoying having the ability to stop someone from passing me on the right. Not racing mind you... passing on the right seems to be a sport for the import crowd around here. To the kid that was on his cell phone and on my ass and tried to pass on the right

I wonder if the person he was talking to could even hear him over my side exhaust in his window!!!

I love this car!
