Is Snyc emblem removable?

The Snyc emblem on my 2010 is scratched and has been since the day I picked it up. Does anyone know if it is removable and can easily be replaced? My parts guy, though he didn't look it up, says it is part of the panel and the whole console panel would have to be replaced.
If that is true, should I insist of it being replaced. The scratch is very noticeable and I see it every time I drive the car. Considering the way the panel is installed, could I end up with more scratches if it is replaced?

The clear lens over my radio is scratched, and the dealer says it's part of the radio & the entire center section---radio & all---would have to be replaced & they won't do it as Ford won't cover it.

I wonder why they don't make it (and the guage cluster plastic) out of something that doesn't scratch as easily. I've been extremely careful not to scratch mine but it happens anyway.

The whole dash, in my opinion, scratches too easily. There are materials, plastics included, that won't scratch too easily.
Most of us are anal about our cars and hate scratches of any kind. Frankly for a car that cost in the mid-$30,000 to $40,000, these panels should not scratch that easily.

Check out this thread where they add a bezel plate (with Microsoft SYNC badge). I think the part is like $9 or something...so if it REALLY bothers you it might be worth it to order one and see if you can remove the badge. My guess is that it's attached to the console the same way so if it comes off of the Bezel easy enough without damage you should be able to remove it from the console too. With any luck it's just attached with sticky adhesive. The part number and a pic of the bezel is within the thread:

Thanks. It looks like it does have a tab on the back. I did a search on Tascas website as well as the web in general and that part number does not come up. I found the console panel with the emblem attached, $113!!!

Everything I and my body shop and Ford rep has found indicates it is not available separately and has tabs on the back. That means it does not just stick on.
The part number cited in the F150 site is for an entire panel (it is a small one) not just the emblem.
Those who say it is a separate emblem, do you have a part number or can you cite a website, a manual or anything that would help my Ford parts guy. Everything official we can find says it is not available separately and I am concerned about the potential for scratching other parts if we remove the part of the console it is attached to and replace the whole panel.

I knew that when I posted the link. My thought was that you could buy the $8 part and carefully remove the emblem without scratching it. If successful you could probably pull off the damaged center console emblem the same way and replace it with the new one you just removed.

Al, Use some NuFinish Scratch Doctor on that radio lens. Same problem and dealer responce for me. This pretty much fixed the problem, at least it looks considerably better. Best regards Plum
