is the 2.3 clutch cable the same as the 5.0

That's a good question...i know the clutch is different because it has a different load rating, and the trany is different but can still be used with a V8...i would say yes because that's the safe answer, but then again Ford probably wouldn't have gone through the trouble of engineering 2 different cables to do the same job...I dunno.

(maybe it's $8.33333333333333333 LMFAO)
 
the 4cyl. cable has to hook to a bracket-type-thing on the bellhousing that opperates the clutch fork instead of hooking directly to the fork like v8 models.... so yes its different, the 4cyl. cable has a small steel "ball" on the end which is too small to hook onto the v8 fork. but they are about the same lenth.
