... to take off the headrest???

I HATE THOSE FREAKING SEATBELT LOOPS!!!!

My belts do not stay in them. I know me being 6'3" doesnt help but man Im sick of them. My g/f has no trouble with hers, of course shes a lot shorter than I am . Is anything special needed to get them out, Ive heard they can be a real pitb. Anyone done this before and have any helpfull hints?

I've taken the belt out of the loop (which helps) - but I never really thought about removing the loop entirely. Hmmm, interesting idea. Is there screws or something holding them on? I guess this is what your asking... OK, I'll head out to the garage and take a look and I'll post back here if I get any inspirational ideas on how to remove em.

Ahh, OK, I see the problem now. There are two torx screws holding the loop bracket on and they're nearly impossible to access unless the headrest is removed. So I did the same as you did - jerk the crap out of the friggin thing, to no avail. OK, let me check out my Haynes manual and also do a bit of Googling for an answer. I've got a 3MB cable modem, so I can fly pretty quickly around the 'net.

sweet I can't believe I never though of doing that I was trying to find an adjustable screwdriver to get in there with a torx bit

I just used a screwdriver with a flexable neck and a torx bit.

I used the tork with a pair of vise grips, took a while but worked.

I used a torx bit out of my screwdriver kit and turned it with a 1/4 in. open end wrench. took about 10 minutes to get them both off.

Luckily I bought the Torx set of about 10 wrenches that are shaped like the Hex Wrenches. The T-27 was good to break the initial seal, but was to big for me to fully take out the bolt. I was able to drop down to a T-20 which gave me a good bit more room due to its smaller size. Both sides were off in about 15 mins. Never needed a pair of vice grips or pliars. The T-20 got it plenty loose so I could use my fingers to finish it off. Looks 100% better now

I got my loops off with a screwdriver with a torx bit, til I rounded one of them out, but it was half way out so i just grabbed some needle nose pliers and used them to bring it the rest of the way out.
