In the begining of last spring I had a FMS king cobra clutch put in and the fly wheel had to be turned down to near its minimum thickness. Since then Ive added about 80hp and 100tq. My clutch is to the point that at around 3500-4000 rpms in 3rd and 4th gears on a hard roll into the throttle or WOT the rpms shoot up but the car barely pulls and I very oftens smell clutch. I have a Summit adj. quadrant and FWA. the FWA is bottomed out almost to the firewall with abut 1/16"to 1/8" gap between the first adj. ring and the fire wall. The clutch pedal has always grabbed high but never really slipped till the last round of upgrades. The clutch pedal starts to grab just below the height of the brake pedal and has less than 1/2" of play in it at the top of the pedal. Based on this is there any one who can tell me if there is any adj. left in the FWA and what steps to take to adj it properly. My clutch, quadrant and FWA where all put in at the same time, but this is one of the only things I didnt do myself. I wont be beating on the car till I get this fixed, but would like to get it better so that I can enjoy normal driving till I can do so. Im looking at the SPEC stage 2 clutch and billet steel flywheel set. Any body have feed back on that set up. Sorry for the long post.
