Is there Y2K Cobra R Deep Dish Wheels Available?

I'm not sure, I don't believe they make them like that.
But what does deep dish have to do with racing???![]()

deep dish doesnt equal better traction and launching
Then why do people have deep dish then? I'm not saying your wrong because I'm new to this mustang business, but my bro got rid of his 17X8 bullitt wheels in the rear and replaced them with 17X10.5 w/ 315 nitto's and with 3.90's he's gearing up pretty good. Please explain. I need all the help I can get. Thanks
deep dish doesn't = better traction. It just usually means the wheels are wider than stock, and a wider wheel can fit a wider tire making better traction. But not all wide wheels are deepdish, it's just a style for looks often. There are many 10 or 10.5" rims that arn't deep dish and would provide the same traction as your bro's set up. There are even racer's who don't use DD on purpose cuz they're brakes dont fit w/ the DD's offset.

They won't make Deep Dish [ DD ] Y2K wheels for the same reason they won't make DD Saleen Wheels. The spokes are too thin to properly support the weight of the car and can fail. Atleast this is what I was told when I inquired about DD Saleens......You might be able to contact a company to do a Custom One Off set of wheels for you but I would assume that it wouldn't be worth the price.....just my .02
if they are y2k cobra r's from ford then they are 9.5 inches wide anyway and i had them on my car with 295,35 all the way around.its not so much the width of the tire it also has to do with the type of tire for traction.my 18x10 fr500s with pirelli 295/35/18s on the back still spin like crazy.you need a tire with a bigger sidewall to have some flex in it.i say stick with your current rims and just grab a set of slicks or at least put drag radials on what you have.go with a diff tire first and see if that helps if your looking for something to get some better traction on the street with.
I've done a tire upgrade already about a month ago. I went from 245 to 275 in the rear. Helped out a lot, but the more mods I put on......I'm going to need bigger tires and a lot more suspension stuff too.
what tires are you running? you can get the widest tire you want but if they are crappy tires they do no good.
don't know... They're not DR. Some off brand, but they are sticky tires. They're pretty good seriously, I use to have drag radials and I know how good those are. Look at the meats I got.

what are you comparing them too??? In their stickiness?
