Is this a bad install or just a cheap clutch?

Same thing happened to me (kinda) I gave a shop a king cobra clutch to install and told them make sure they resurface the flywheel. the guy told me if it needs it they will do it. when I got it back they said the flywheel didn't need any work. I got the car back and its chattering like hell. I thought it would go away after break in but it just got worse. They told me my clutch my problem, I told them its obvious its due to the flywheel not being resurfaced and he gave me f bombs to. I felt like burning his shop down. Now my input shaft is screwed up and i need a new trans.

If the new flywheel was not properly balanced when you got it, that would be worth a conversation with the vendor or manufacturer. You have a shop backing you up that there was an issue, which should give your complaint some weight.

I'm sorry to hear it was such an expensive proposition, but we're all very glad to hear that you're finally up and running.
