DON'T BUY FROM SPEED CONCEPTS!! If you do a search you will find many complaints about them.

I bought a mid-pipe from them. After not receiving it for a month I emailed them (they don't list their phone number on the site, but I did find a number, which they wouldn't answer), my email took them a couple weeks to respond to, which they told me the part must have got lost in shipping, and they would send another. After another month I still did not receive my mid-pipe. I emailed them repeatedly to return my money....and they didn't. Finally I filed a report with my credit card company and they got my money back.

Speed concepts......bad customer service!!!!!!!!!!

:stupid:

***DO NOT EVER buy from speedconcepts.net***

I tried my hardest to spread the word about this guy's business for about a month straight after he stole my money. Posted all over 3 or 4 different forums to make it well known that he's a crook. Trust us, no matter how good the price may be, DO NOT BUY from him.

This guy basically runs a one man show and cant follow through with all of his orders. He ends up paying special attention to a select few people in his clubs/certain forums (*cough* mustangworld *cough*), and treats everyone else like complete crap. I honestly do NOT believe he has anything more than a dozen parts in stock. He doesn't order your parts until you pay him and that's why it takes forever.... if you even get them at all. He'll often use the excuse of dealing with his ex wife and his child's custody issues to further explain for his inability to run a business. A few of the people in one of my mustang clubs have actually met and talked with him in person, and they assured me he is a sketchball to say the least.

My problem was the same deal as Stus99GT....I had to file a report with my bank to get my money back after waiting for over a month of calling him every day to bitch him out about the parts i ordered with no luck.

His business is also on the stangnet "List" of companies to avoid buying from.

i am looking at upgrading my brake system as well. question though, besides the price what is the difference in the cobra brake system versus the mach system?? does the kit come with pads??

Difference is just appearance of the Caliper. Mach 1 are flat black in color, while Cobra have COBRA on them and Bullitts are red with the pony.

They all come with pads and are the same calipers mechanically (or hydralically i should say)

so i would just be upgrading to a 13" rotors and calipers? reason I ask is I was thinking about just buying HPS pads and slotted rotors on ebay. the 13's that much better?

Yes, 13" rotors are much better than 10.8" rotors.

The reason is mechanical advantage from leverage and more massive rotor allowing the dissipation of heat more quickly thus resisting fade.

Theoretically, if you could put a rotor large enough on your car, you could stop your car with as much clamping force as if you pinched the rotor with your index finger and thumb.

hmm, my fronts are starting to go and I am trying to justify the cost to wifey..... not sure she will go for it but I am trying. thanks for y our help though and sorry for hijacking the thread

$400 for upgraded brakes to improve safety seems like a damn good arguement :)

I've had a few close calls where i was pedal to the floor and just missed hitting a car. A lot of guys say the stock GT 2-piston PBR's are nice brakes, but my confidence in my ability to stop went way up when i did my Mach 1 brakes
