is this a good HID conversion kit?

We got ours from Matt at Stangmods during the GP.

The kit is a good upgrade, but beware as it does throw a lot of glare versus the halogen lighting.

I'm in the process of retrofitting Acura TSX projectors into an aftermarket headlight housing. It's a much more costlier process and more time consuming, but the light output will be far better than the PNP kits out on the market now.

it will give a lot of glare to me or to other drivers?

basically knowing what yours looks like, would you buy it again? my car isnt a DD and i may drive it at night once or twice a month, so as long as the light output is better than stock i'll be happy

For that price, it's a good investment. Would I buy it again: no.

The light output is much better than stock, but be warned: it does throw a lot of glare.

so what did you mean by glare? how does this affect me? I just bought that exact kit a few days ago, so im awaiting. Im not worried about the loss of high beam, they look bright enough not to need two beams, but I guess we will see about the inspection.

Its not that you will miss the high beams...i rarely use mine. Its the inspection issue for those of us with strict inspection we must have high and low and the now getting increasingly more popular police roadside inspection. Thanks to all the imports running around blinding everyone cops are now pulling people over with older cars with hids. Around here its big money they are generating with tickets so they study up on which cars have them as factory options and which didn't and they are pulling people over. One of my cop friends told me they have classes to learn about the aftermarket add ons and which ones they can legally ticket like improperly installed body kits etc and overly loud exhaust and HID's.
I don't want to make it easy to give me a ticket so i'm considering that bi xenon kit to confuse them some.

its getting tough to do anything around here without attracting attention. We have a huge illegal mexican population and they all have crappy old riced out cars that the cops drool after...they will impound them and sell them at auction...but the ricers are bringing the heat down on everyone who isn't stock in my town.

Glare meaning that every street sign and overpass sign will be lit up bright as day when you drive down the road.

You won't pass period. And if you do, it's because the inspector is a friend....or is a moron.

These cheap plug and play kits do not work right in halogen reflector housings. I don't care what anyone says....they glare. These kits are illegal for a reason and I'm sick of flashing my high beams at someone who's installed one in their car's factory headlamps. I've even seen a few 99+ Mustangs with HID's that have really blinded me.

Either spend more money and do it "right" by retrofitting HID bi-xenon projectors into your headlamps giving you a working high beam and a razor sharp cut-off line, or go with the PNP kit so long as you realize you are creating glare for other drivers.
