i was putting on the bottom hallf of my intake to the head and i accidently used too long of a head bold. it went all the way through and you can see the end of the bolt sticking through if the valve cover is off. will this cause a problem of any kind. its a brand new head thats never even seen motor oil yet. i hope i didnt ruin it? i have a picture i just dont know how to post a pic.

the intake manifold bolt broke through the head is what you're saying?

use blue loctite on the correct bolt and that will seal the hole and keep oil in.

yes, thanx Ray. just wanted to make sure oil leak wouldnt come haunt me in 3 months. there is no oil pressure inside the valve cover so i was just gonna use some white plummers tape or whatever, but locktite sound a little better.
i also need to find the right bolts because the ones i have are about 1/4in too long. Thanx again

I hope that is what he is saying If so don't worry about it as long as you put something on the threads to stop leaks like Ray III said. Also make sure all the loose metal shavings are cleaned out also. I have a hole just like this on my head I'm installing. The head had the ole inline intakes and I had an extra hole drilled/tapped to fit the sqaure intakes. Since this head didn't a spot for it the hole goes into the oil vally where the cam etc is just under the valve cover. I'm guessing this is the same hole your worry about and yours had the little boss/bump on the inside under valve cover so the oil wouldn't leak through.

Well I surf all of SN and ran across a ton of threads talking crap about how a V8 is better than a V6 blah blah. There're all closed now thank God So I was taking up for the V6 and said you both are slow J/K. At first it was fun but then it turned to crap. Now with the V6 monitor out of town for 3 days it stayed bad for a few days. SN finnaly steped in and ended it and stated no hate crap putting people type threads.

DO NOT put teflon(white) tape on the threads. Some of it could come loose and cause damage.
