So here it is, I have a 96 gt and a windsor I have asked some questions about for the last few months. The gt has a rebuilt title as the car has had the same fender squashed twice, the frame was measured with lasers for imperfections in straightness, the frame shop says it's straight. The car has a carb'ed 302 and a t-45 w/a different stock k-member some kid half ass slapped in this thing, I drove the car for the first time today extensively,it drives funny as hell,it's almost as if it wants to push through the curves and when i go over bumps it bounces around like it's been slammed to the ground I have already had an alignment done but they tell me the camber is out on the driver side and the wheel does indeed lean in at the top severely. I do not know what to do, should I persevere, spend some bucks to make it right and make this car the new home for my $15,000 dollar windsor or should I cut my losses, sell the car and find another car? When I have no experience with this type of thing I have no choice but to rely on others experience, you guys have not been wrong so far. Thanks Gentleman

if your having doubts about it thats a good sign to get another car. if it drives funny then get rid of it, no need for that.

It's a huge let down to put time and money into something and then realize that you made a terrible mistake by buying it in the first place. Hindsight a bitch!

Id take it to a shop that specializes in alignments and get it looked at.
If youre just taking it to Midas or some other chain they might not be able to correct it like a real shop can.

The bad ride seems to me like it needs shocks and struts.

Good call. Take it to a REAL allignment shop that only does allignment work. Places like Midas are borderline even on a completely stock car.

If you decide it's not worth fixing up, then just get rid of it and don't look back. The only thing worse than realizing you made a terrible mistake in the first place is looking back 2 years from now, realizing you made a terrible mistake, and kept pouring money into it.

Have a good shop take a look at it and then decide whether or not to keep it.

agree. There are tons of other cars out there. If you like the sn95 body, find a good used 94-95 with all the pushrod goodies. These cars are going pretty cheap right now and you might luck up and find one with a good body and suspension with a bad motor.
