hey guys, i was thinking today about if anyone has modded a mach 1 hood, covering up the shaker area and putting a regular applique on it, painting the black area in the front over with the rest of the cars color and using it as your hood? do companies even make a replica hood like this? because i like the look of that hood, but i dont want the appearance of having a mach1 when i dont...just curious if anyone has done this and if u have pics

if u think this thread is stupid well...u can "+1" then lol

Some one has filled in the cut out area for the shaker and it looked real clean
i dont remember what forum i saw it on though maybe someone remebers the link

I think what he did was buy a stock mach hood from ford and then had a body shop do the rest.

dunno how it would look, but they could easily make a fiberglass backing plate for the opening, then fill the small gaps, sand and paint.... i dont like the flow of the hood in general... but hey, everyone like something different.

well..ive seen hoods that look similar to the hoods of 99-04 GT's except ive seen one with an extra rise then the scoop..sorta like the mach 1 but without the huge bubble effect that the mach 1 gives off...would this possibly be a 35th or 40th anniv ed hood? or is this my imagination...or quite possibly a body kit hood? cuz ive seen it, and i like it lol
