Just wondering about something here...everyone seems to run H or X pipes..but when I first changed the oil in my car I noticed that my car only had a straight pipe commin ogg each header and back into a flowmaster 40 series on each side..there is no cross over whatsoever..will this hurt performance?

awesome..I mean bad that it is hurting performance and probably sound but awesome that I know I have all that much more reason to mod something :) ..how much would a upr x pipe run? I like the way the x almost gives a gt that cobra sound..kind of like its breathign under water or something..

awesome..hopefully If I got an X installed I would feela better power difference huh?either way I would love to help the sound get even better...
You might want to consider some tailpipes too as the added backpressure sometimes aid in adding some torque.

x pipes are deffinatly the way to go. as for losing power, or gaining power for that matter, i dont think you'll notice it much, down low anyways, but past 3000, you'll feel it deffinatly. there is one guy i know with the upr x, and it dose sound nice. its deeper then my bbk x, but mine is WAY louder. i dont think he has a after market cat back tho, i think its just some flows welded in to stock tailpipes. i love my bbk tho. i have people asking all the time now what my exhaust is. and i get alot of responses that go something like "really, i thought that combo was suppoosed to sound lik poo.".
id get the upr one tho, it is kinda nice with the 2 peice designe. just make sure its tight, you dont want a leak.

Hmmm was the two straight pipes the thing to do a while back. Reason I ask is that mine is the same way too. Looking at it closely it looks like someone cuts all the pipes and welded it back together. As far as sound goes....it still sounds badass with the exception that one side is normally louder than the other.

yeah, and plus, you can usually have someone else at shop install them for you, for about the same price as just buying a x.
all the old muscle cars had either h's, or just true duals. i like both, but would rather have the trues. kinda old school i guess. but a x dose flow better.
