Guys there is this local little car lot in st pete that actually has a lighting and a 99 cobra vert in their lot.... i stopped by to look at the cobra today ( i couldent resist)

And It has 100k or so on the clock...BONE stock, its red with a tan top, tan leather interior, manual...looks real clean, guy said if i drove it i would buy it LOL

But anyways, he wants 11,900 for it......im sure 11,500 is easily attainable....

Good deal yay or nay?

11.5 is a pretty good deal, but that high of mileage would make me a little weary. How much do they want for the Lightning?

Sounds like a good price.......even if you have to spend $2000 to freshen up the motor (bearings, piston rings, valve guides, and timing chains), you'll still be ahead in the long run. These mod motors live LOONG lives if properly taken care of. Look at all the taxi's and police cars with 300,000+ on them.

do it, more power than a gt, better brakes and handling. You may make money or break ebven selling it down the road.

If you want to do some serious upgrades, then it's better to toss high-mileage parts (e.g., suspension, brakes, etc.) than new stuff. The price is about right. Can you contact the former owner?
