Saw a motor took a pic.. I asked the guy and he said its out of a explorer, i got hyped up then he told me its not a h.o but maybe he was mistaken..

It looks like a stock intake.
Whatever it is it sees to be on back wards.

the non ho's had the intake flipped that way. I wouldnt get to worked up over it, infact I would probably pass on it.

Yes, thats a non HO motor.

Seems I have one in a Grand Marquis, and the intake/heads are worst than HO.

If that tells you anything.

yes a 35mm tb (somthing really small) crap intake, and e6 heads, so its not going anywhere fast...

58mm tb, the upper intake is the same used on the 86 mustang as are the heads.

Explorers use DIS, and since that has a cap and rotor it's def not an exploder motor.


It's a non-HO 5.0 from the looks of it

Judging buy the order the plug wires are in it's a Non-HO.

This thing'll make a diff w/ stock heads? or should i port them first

It should make SOME difference, but porting is always a good thing, and helps the parts work together more effectively (thus, a more noticable improvement). Maybe find some spare E7's and have 'em ported, first, and then throw everything on there all at once...?
