I just came from ford , and told them i need axle oil for my car. I'm puting in the FRPP 3.73 . The gave me SAE 75W-140 ("Synthetic" rear axle lubricant). Will i need Friction modifier to go with it? someone told me that i wont neet it because its already synthetic!!?

well It clearly says on the side : "For limited slip rear axles. consult owner's guide.May require the addition of a friction modifier meeting ford specification"

BUT when i asked the guy in FORD spare parts , he told me i wont need friction modifier. because this is a new modified rear end Oil which already HAS friction modifier. ????? so what the hell now . I'm thinking if it already has friection modifier , why does it say on the side , that the addition of friection modifier might be required!!!!!!!!?????

anyone

com'on guys I'm doing the instal after 2 days...help me out here . i dont wanna mess up my rear end :(
I have found most parts guys don't have a clue as to what goes into every different vehicle or what is required by the manufacturer. If the oil you are using and your manual says to use the friction modifier, then I would use it.
