Tomorrow if all goes well, I'll be picking up my 03 cobras with 315 nittos...and if all goes well, ill be going to the track on sunday to give the nittos a go for the first time. My previous best was a 14.25@95 w/ 1.99 60', and it was the first time i ever raced. Based on those numbers, and the mods in my sig (or lack thereof), is it possible for me to break into the 13's on a well prepped track like, say...englishtown??

From your previous best, I'd say it's definitely a possibility. If you can get your 60' time down, you'll be damn close if you don't get a 13 out of it.

I dunno man, I think the ABC Exclusive Cobra RR hood will put you into the 12's.

But seriously, I think the more you go to the track, the better an ET you will run. But remember, the MPH is a better representation of the power of the car.

I believe that the 'rule of thumb' is a 0.2 reduction in ET for every 0.1 reduction of 60' time. So if you can pull ~1.85 60', then you should be able to break into the 13's. I think that 1.85 is doable...

i think those big tires are going to slow you down. im not kidding. way to much tire for a stock geared car. ask me how i know.

Thats a good point. Another 'rule of thumb' is for every 10 (ten) pounds of ROTATING mass you reduce, you lose 0.1 ET. If you add rotating mass, you'll gain ET..... Those wheels and tires must weigh more than stock ones, huh?
